We find people with vintage shoes to sell. If they are in mint condition, we’re interested. We’re pretty open minded when it comes to our sources. We’ve even been offered shoes out of the trunk of a car on its way to the thrift store. Just keep in mind that all of our shoes are still in the box and have never been worn..
It could. If you have shoes that are unworn and in mint condition, feel free to send us some pictures and a brief description at contact@avintagesole.com. We’ll take a look and get back to you. We do reserve the right to say “thanks, but no thanks” if they don’t fit our needs.
Request away. Knowing what you’re looking for helps us track down shoes that better suit your needs (well, your wants anyway). We can’t guarantee that we can get our hands on the perfect style that happens to be in your size, but we certainly can try.
Two words — mint condition. All of our shoes have never been worn and are still in the box. There is no wear to rate. They are all in mint condition. Occasionally there will be a bit of discoloration from age. When this happens, a little note will come up on your screen to inform you.
Frankly, we think it’s a tease. What’s more frustrating than finding the perfect pair of shoes that will match your dress exquisitely only to follow the link and find out they are sold? My heart sank just thinking about it. So instead of dashing your hopes and dreams, we remove the items after they sell.
The easiest way to keep up with our changes is to join our mailing list. You’ll find this at the bottom of the page. Sometimes we add a few shoes at a time without creating a big stir. Generally we unveil a group (with a theme if you’re lucky) and send out an email to those in the know.
You already are. We exist only online. We don’t have a brick and mortar location. Our operations are located in Michigan.
Our inventory is ever changing (to say the least) so we don’t have a catalog. There are great search tools to help you narrow down the online collection to just those that are right for you.
It depends on you and how well your screen is calibrated. We make sure our photographs are as true to life as they can be. Sometimes we even hold a shoe up to the screen to make the comparison. However, if your screen tones are a bit off, the color might look slightly different onscreen than it does in real life.
Nope.
Really! All of our inventory is authentic, vintage inventory. This isn’t just your eyes deceiving you. All of our shoes really are authentic, unworn, and still in their boxes. We know — it gets us excited too.
The majority of our inventory resides their original boxes — the ones from the factory. However, sometimes boxes were damaged while being handled at the store during their previous lives. The stores simply swapped out the damaged boxes for another box they had on hand. As such, sometimes you get a box that has a different brand on it than the shoes inside. Both are still authentic vintage items. We have not changed out any boxes. We leave them the way they came to us. In the instance that a pair of shoes is not in its original box, a note will appear on your screen letting you know that this is the case.
During World War II, supplies were at a premium. Companies tried to help each other out as much as possible during these difficult times. One of the suppliers for our inventory had a shipment of boxes that all came in damaged during the war. Another of their suppliers helped out by supplying them with replacement boxes. As a result of this kindness, there is a section of our inventory from the early 40s that is not in the original boxes but rather in those of a competitor. We think this background story is rather incredible and wanted to share it with you. When you select a pair of shoes that is in what we have deemed a “wartime box,” a note will appear on your screen letting you know that they are part of this history.
Vintage shoes use the same sizing methods as modern shoes. Some are more generous than others and some are quite small. Reading what’s my size? will help you with this.
As of today, no. We might change our minds in the future.
Sorry, no holds here. If you love them and can’t imagine your life without them — buy them!
Of course! As long as they are in the same condition as when they were sold and sent back within the 10 day return window, we will gladly accept them. For complete details read our terms & conditions.
The rules are there to offer you the best shoes possible. We aren’t in a position to be able to send shoes back to the manufacturer. Our collection is unique and irreplaceable. We take great care in getting the shoes to you so that you can fully enjoy them. We simply ask that you do the same. You obviously loved the pair of shoes that you ordered. Unfortunately, sometimes the fit just isn’t right. By trying them on with care before returning them, you are allowing someone else to have the opportunity to be overjoyed with her purchase. This is an “if the shoe were on the other foot” scenario.
a Vintage Sole™ is happy to work with you to arrange a larger order. Please contact us directly with your needs at contact@avintagesole.com.
We accept Visa® and MasterCard®. Happy shopping!
If you live outside of the fine state of Michigan, no. Sorry Michiganders. Since you live in the same state as our facilities, we must charge you the standard state tax rates. We don’t make the rules. We just live with them.
Not quite yet. We are currently exploring the best method for international orders and hope to ship internationally in the future.
Heavens no! Too overdramatic? Perhaps. While we love it when you share our name, we will never share yours. We aim to provide a pleasant shopping experience so passing out your information like candy would be counter productive.
Ooh, yes! We love to hear from our customers! Pictures, e-mails, that crazy YouTube® video of you dancing up a storm in them — we love it all. So please feel free to show off just how great you look by writing us at contact@avintagesole.com. Who knows, you just might see yourself on the website.
Write us with your question at contact@avintagesole.com. We will happily answer.
